Kobetsu Kaizen Culture at Birinci

In the automotive industry, evolving dynamics have made flexibility, quality, and efficiency more critical than ever. At Birinci Otomotiv, we turned this transformation into an opportunity by establishing our Operational Excellence (OP-EX) department in the final quarter of 2024. This new structure not only provides a corporate framework for our continuous improvement initiatives but also aims to elevate our lean production approach to a more systematic and inclusive model.

Laying the Groundwork for Transformation with Kobetsu Kaizen

One of the key initiatives under the OP-EX umbrella is the implementation of the Kobetsu Kaizen methodology. This approach is designed to deliver lasting solutions to chronic issues encountered in our daily operations. More than just generating ideas, it fosters a culture of hands-on implementation and ownership, driving meaningful transformation across our entire organization.

Shaped by the active involvement of every department, Kobetsu Kaizen projects have evolved into a powerful movement—transforming not only our production processes but also our corporate culture. With regularly published progress reports, we ensure transparent monitoring of developments and create a platform that encourages the emergence of new ideas.

Our First Success Story: Water Consumption Reduction Project

In the second quarter of 2025, we successfully completed our first Kobetsu Kaizen project during the summer. The project focused on reducing water consumption. Through the collective expertise, field observations, and experience of our teams, we developed lasting and sustainable solutions. This initiative not only reduced our environmental impact but also reaffirmed our commitment to efficiency and resource management.

By scaling the Kobetsu Kaizen approach across our organization, we aim to enhance efficiency, quality, and occupational safety standards in every department through systematic solutions to recurring operational issues.
